If you'd like to express your message to the other attendees of saturday's streetFest, maybe you can find useful our riot-folk-punk stage. All you have to do is to come with your acoustic instrument to the place and arrange yourself with the organizers and the rest of performers.

ProtestFest 2oo8

ProtestFest is:

  • a festival interconnecting alternative culture and activism;
  • a place enabling discussion on actual social and environmental topics;
  • a space for anyone willing to listen to others, not only to himself/herself;
  • a free space where you can discuss, talk, play, inform, create;
  • an open door for different forms, contents, topics, approaches;
  • a big stage for everyone – an alternative is that anyone can participate

    • ProtestFest is not:

  • a business making money on something that you are interested in;
  • a place for propaganda of political parties or commercial advertisement;
  • a space for exhibition of people, who think that they know everything better than the others;
  • a stage for stars that you should adore;
  • a spiritless presentation of one opinion or one political orientation;
  • a space for advocating of totalitarian ideologies, which kill all discussion;

    • ProtestFest is created by all of us.

    The theme of ProtestFest 2008 is Global Climate Change:

  • both widely discussed topic in the world and neglected in the Czech Republic;
  • an issue concerning all of us;
  • an issue with huge social and environmental consequences;
  • a topic all of us have something to say about;
